Good news - no surgery! She has a fractured fibula and will wear a cast for the next 6-8 weeks. We go back after 2 weeks for a new cast because there is still some swelling which will go down in that amount of time and we will need a better fitting cast. Thank you all so much for asking about her and sending prayers.

Just going to write down my first thought when I read this post:
Well, that's a relief.
But sorry about the school trip.
My first thought was OH good she doesnt need surgery after all.
Yahoo! Thank goodness! I'm so happy for the both of you!
Glad to hear that she will be alright! I hopped on over from Sharon's blog...
Trampolines are fun, but a bit of a menis! Our DD broke her wrist on one. The ER dr. said that if someone asks him if he thinks it's a good idea to buy a tramp, he tells them NO! They get more people hurt on them then they are worth!
Sorry about her trip... good for you on the weight loss though!
Great news, indeed.
Yes, good news indeed.
Poor Joy! So glad that she doesn't need surgery. Hope for a quick healing.
We had a trampoline for many years. My kids never got hurt on it, but one of the kid's friend did. He came down wrong on his ankle like Joy did and fractured it in two places. I felt really bad that I told DH to get rid of the trampoline right away. It's one of those things that the kids will want to play on when they are over. I think I couldn't bear to have another kid get hurt on it.
Great news Joy...I had somehow missed reading about your poor ankle? but am pleased to now hear that things are not as serious as first thought!! Enjoy the attention sweety and dont run poor Mum too ragged!! LOL, CAthyx
Thank goodness! Best wishes to Joy!
