Loser Monday - Update!

I am finally starting up! Sharon at Red Geranium Cottage should be so proud of me - and I hope not mad at me for not starting two weeks ago. I am even biting the bullet and putting on a horrible BEFORE photo of me!!! It is about a year old, but I still look just as awful. :-D I have so many excuses for not starting Weight Watchers until today, but they are good excuses!! Last week we had a PTO meeting at school at the exact same time - and I am required to attend those. The week before the line was so long that I just left. It snaked across the room and halfway down the hallway of the community center, plus most folks in line were signing up as new members which takes forever. I am actually excited about getting started finally.
Now, Sharon, don't even THINK about whether I am going to post my weight. No, no, no!! Let's just say it is horrifying! Shocking! I am one of those old, fat people that I used to make fun of. Oh, sweet Karma!! I may find one of those gadgets to put on my sidebar that shows progress toward a goal. That might be motivating. Well, in half an hour I am off to my meeting.
UPDATE!!
To continue a trend, when I arrived at the Community Center it was closed due to Martin Luther King, Jr., Day - with no sign or anything saying what had happened to the WW meeting. Oh well, I went to the grocery store and am starting anyway. And I ordered a power juicer!!!

Julie, I am trying too... I am a terrible dieter. Good idea to join WW, I am thinking of that too.

Well done.
Our DD2 is working on her fitness/health, has lost heaps of weight, feeling good and I am starting to feel the need to trim down before she overtakes me by too far!!!!!!
Keep up the good work Debs.

YEAH JULIE! Yea you, yea you, yea you! Sorry about yet another disappointment for the actual meeting, but way to start on your own! YOU KEEP US POSTED! Nothing keeps you on track more than feeling the "peer-pressure" on telling the world about your plans. You don't want to let us down and we'll keep you pumped and motivated when you need us!

My $.02 advice: There WILL be days when you'll "fail." Shake it off, get some sleep, and get right back on track. Setting good eating habits is HARD! (ASK me how I know!), but ....oh....what'sthe saying........."everything in moderation."

It IS courageous of you to declare your "challenge." It's EASY to just turn a blind-eye; you are doing the hard thing! Yeah.......

YOU can do IT!!!I quit smoking over a year ago and gained some weight,, I need to get busy with that also..just dont use fabric as a reward,, for every carton of cigs I did NOT buy I bought fabric.... UGH.. way too much, but a little bit healthier. I am starting walking, but no actual diet yet.. you CAN do it!!

well good for you for going on with it anyway. every time i've done weight watchers i've had to do it by myself, so i'm not sure what goes on in those meetings - but even if the trend continues, you can so do it without them, after all, you have sharon and her girls :)

Way to go! You are brave to put it all out there. Turning over a new leaf is never easy, but baby steps will get you there eventually. 3 years ago I started walking to the park three days a week with my neighbor. Now I run marathons -- who could have guessed?

Well done! Just go for it. You'll be fine. You don't look awful, but you will feel better when you do this for yourself!

Congrats on forging ahead last week. It's a big step and it sounds like you're really prepared to commit! (I promise I'll send no more chocolate for awhile! :snort:)

Will you be posting a success meter in your sidebar? ;-)
