I Was Booed!

LuAnn at Loose Threads Booed me today! Happy Halloween to you and I hope you have lots of fun. I think I will Boo Brenda at Pumpkin Patch Primitives. She is a fellow Halloween fan and should appreciate it. Here's to you Brenda!!

For whatever reason our trick or treat here in Valley is tomorrow night. I am proud to say I didn't spend any money on costumes this year. We used things we already had. Hooray! More money to spend on fabric!!! Also, it is quite cool here, which is unusual for Halloween. It seems more like Halloween when the weather is like this.

I am a little down today. My boss called me into her office this morning to chew me out because I forgot to give a kid back his Rice Krispie treat yesterday. I had taken it from him because he snuck it out of the lunchroom (which is what we are supposed to do). She told me she "was not playing with me and would 'write me a letter' " if I didn't give it back to him today. (Write me a letter means an official reprimand that would go into my personnel file.) Hmmm. Nothing like being treated like a professional.

Geez, that lady needs a life! Maybe she was planning on eating the RCT herself, LOL!
But she might have been having a bummer day and you were just the lucky recipient of her "venting"...don't let it ruin your weekend!
Thanks for Booing me. I had fun handing out treats tonight...wish we had more little treaters but I'm not complaining. I almost gave away all of my candy; woo-hoo!

Happy Halloween. It is good to hear that others are making up their own costumes this year as well. I try to let the kids take the lead on planning their own costumes now that they are old enough. They seem to get more out of it that way.
I can't believe that your boss would be so petty about a Rice Krispie treat. It is almost funny the things that they chose to become unconcerned with. If they didn't have the ability to make our lives so difficult, it would be amusing. I work with a teacher that has moved from a college setting, and he is constantly commenting about how shocking it is to be treated like an incompetent child. Such a shame.

Good grief! This must be the principal you're speaking of? What a tyrant! I am so sorry. All this over a rice krispie treat. Sheesh! I wonder how she handles real problems at school.

Wow Julie! Just file that under one of those days. Sounds like someone needs to cheer up.A deer came through a window at our school.Bumped the teacher and quickly left the way it came in.No one was injured. Imagine the chaos?

How awful! I hate that feeling you get when an 'authority figure' reprimands you. You feel gutted. This feeling passes. It seems a very extreme reaction, perhaps the parents 'chewed her out' and she wanted to make herself feel better.
I hope it all gets forgotten soon! Chin up and keep smiling!!

I think your boss deserves a "boo", and not in a good way. What a leader. Maybe you should bring her office a tray of rice krispies treats.

You're right Julie, that is nothing like being treated like a professional! It's kind of sad that the job of teaching involves such petty, silly things. Hope you have a great week this week!
